What is parcel forwarding?

Parcel forwarding means receiving your purchase at an address in Germany and arranging onward delivery to you. You choose the item and pay the store directly. BPD Direct is preparing the receiving service in Germany; BPD Express will handle onward delivery.

There are two delivery stages: from the store to the receiving address, and from BPD to the recipient. Each stage will use a different tracking number.

What to check before paying the store

Check whether the store delivers the selected item to an address in Germany. The seller sets its sales terms and accepted payment methods.

Also confirm onward delivery with us. Send the item link and the recipient’s country, city and postcode, plus the packaged weight and dimensions if known. Doorstep delivery depends on the exact address. Read more about BPD Express delivery destinations.

How to place an order after launch

  • Obtain your address details and customer identifier from BPD Direct.
  • Enter the recipient details in the store’s order exactly as instructed by the service.
  • Pay the seller directly for your purchase.
  • Wait for the store’s dispatch confirmation with the carrier tracking number.
  • Add that number to BPD Direct before the parcel arrives.

Do not substitute another service’s address. Wait until BPD Direct has officially provided your receiving details before ordering.

Which details are needed for each parcel?

If a store splits one order into several parcels, each parcel needs its own tracking number. Add every number: the order number does not replace them. See store tracking and BPD tracking for the difference.

What happens after arrival in Germany?

After receiving the parcel, we add a photo and its weight. Details for paying for onward delivery arrive by email. After payment, we arrange delivery with BPD Express and provide a new BPD tracking number.

Doorstep delivery is available where supported at your address. We will announce the BPD Direct launch date and final terms separately.
